Manas may regain its "World Heitage site, In Danger " tag again

The UNESCO World Heritage Committee has warned India of including the wildlife reserve in ‘the List of World Heritage in Danger’ if it failed to check poaching and encroachment in the forest.

Manas was designated as World Heritage site in 1885 but due to decade long ethnic unrest in the area in which it was highly affected it was tagged with "In Danger tag" in 1992. After nearly two decades, Manas National Park has got rid of the danger tag in 2011. But failour of protecting by the Central as well as the State Govt.  Manas may regain the tag as warned by UNESCO.
