More than 50 herpatofauna identified from Manas    

The recent studies have identified 20 amphibian and 35 reptuile species from Manas National Park National Park of Assam. Some of the species identified were highly endangered and endemic. The study was conducted by Wildlife institute of India, Gauhati University along with other NGOs.

The news is very positve at the time when Manas is in the threat of losing its World Heritage site Tag.
